Service Department
WGPC's Service Department has become a recognized leader in the surface wellhead arena. This is a direct result of our Service Representatives experience and the services we tailor to each individual customer.
Personnel Availability
WGPC currently has 26 domestic and 22 international service bases located in active drilling and production regions around the world. They are staffed with an estimated 145 service representatives with an average of 4 years of experience. The representatives are available 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
Service Training
WGPC plans for the future needs of its customers. As drilling activity continues to rise, so does our search for both experienced and entry level service personnel. Making sure our service personnel are trained in the tasks generally performed in their service area is the combined responsibility of the local facility/branch manager and the Corporate Service Department.
The Service Department conducts training classes on both standard products and developing technology for special applications on a regular basis. Service school attendance and proficiencies are documented and recorded to ensure that personnel selected to go to a work site are totally prepared to perform the task at hand.
Job Preparation
WGPC has in place both a Job Assessment Meeting (JAM) Program and a Job Safety Analysis (JSA) Program.
The JAM is a document which outlines the work to be performed. Before being dispatched to the work site, the service representative and his supervisor review job requirements and procedures in detail to ensure he is thoroughly prepared.
Once the representative arrives at the work site, he reviews the JSA with the customer representative to identify potential hazards and to ensure that all safety equipment is in proper working condition. He will also make sure everyone on site knows what will be accomplished and what is expected. Safety for your employees, our employees and the environment is a top priority for WGPC. These reviews, which are done for every job and become a part of the service record for that site, have helped WGPC to significantly improve customer service and customer satisfaction.
