MWC Multi-Well Completion™ System
The MWC Multi-Well Completion™ System is a general classification given to any WGPC wellhead system where two or more wells are completed inside a single conductor. These types of completions are not uncommon on offshore platforms where limited space and high production costs result in the use of creative time-saving, cost-saving alternatives to traditional well configurations.
Features Commonly Used in MWC Configurations –
- Multi-bowl style housings (SH2, SH3) or conventional independent spools
- Outlets angled for ease of access
- Slip-type or mandrel casing hangers
- Elastomer or metal-to-metal annular seals
- Lockdown of hangers with internal lock rings or external lockscrews
- Metal-to-metal neck seal tubing hangers with accommodations for multiple control lines
