About WGPC
Wood Group Pressure Control (WGPC) is the largest provider of surface wellheads and valves in the United States and our international presence is growing. Manufacturing facilities are located in the United States, Australia, Canada, Scotland, Indonesia, China, and Venezuela, and investment in new facilities has increased manufacturing capacity to supply new markets.
Surface wellhead refers to wellhead equipment used on land or on offshore platforms above the surface of the ocean. We manufacture a variety of equipment from conventional wellheads using flanged connections to time-saving, safety enhancing wellheads that utilize the latest machining and seal technology to save costly installation time while still protecting our environment - during drilling and throughout the life of each well. We also manufacture API 6A gate valves, actuators, chokes, and other well related equipment.
One product which is not directly related to wellhead is our Rigsaver™, a positive air shut-off valve used as a safety device on diesel engines. Available in many sizes and with different operation methods, this product is commonly used on generators found on drilling rigs as well as for other power generation, fuel transfer, marine, mining, refinery, and petrochemical applications.
WGPC has more than 50 bases of operation. Some are located in energy hubs such as Houston, Aberdeen and Abu Dhabi where decisions are often made. Others are service bases strategically positioned in active drilling and production regions around the world. We pride ourselves on having more bases than any other wellhead manufacturer, spanning 16 countries on six continents. Representatives are available to assist our customers 24-hours a day, seven days a week.
