WGPC Internal Announcement – Leadership Succession

Effective September 1, Scott Bender will hand over the leadership of Wood Group Pressure Control to Ian Milne. Scott, who is leaving to pursue personal interests, will continue to support Ian, and remain available by email and cell phone, through the end of the year to help with the transition.

Scott’s legacy at Wood Group is one of strategic growth. Since joining WGPC in 2000, he has led the company’s US success—to become the number one provider of surface wellheads—and to expand internationally, now with manufacturing locations in the US, Canada, UK, Australia, China, Indonesia, Mexico, Venezuela and Saudi Arabia. The number of employees has grown from 650 to a strong team of over 1200 people and revenue has more than tripled.

Scott Bender

Ian is a very well-qualified successor. He brings nearly 30 years of oil & gas experience in the US and UK and extensive knowledge of the global valve and wellhead market to his new role. Most recently he has been Pressure Control’s vice president and general manager for North America, and served previously as vice president of Engineering and Marketing. His international and North American experience spans engineering, marketing, sales and senior management positions including global Director of Surface Business for Cameron, and having served as President of Grant Prideco’s Plexus Ocean Systems division.

Wood Group is committed to personal development and I’m delighted we are promoting a highly qualified, internal candidate to succeed Scott. Please join me in thanking Scott for his shrewd leadership and in supporting Ian as he heads the management team and continues to grow our valve and wellhead business.

As Ian assumes his new responsibilities he is pleased to have and benefit from the continued support of Joel Bender in his current role as the company develops further its global supply chain.

Ian Milne

Ian’s current duties will be assumed on August 25th by Gary Moore. Gary has over 30 years of experience with Halliburton in various capacities in North America, the last of which was senior vice president of the Fluids Systems Division. His knowledge of operations and experience in business development make him an ideal leader to continue WGPC’s drive toward becoming the leading service provider in the North American market.
