Durenda Mason Joins Wood Group Pressure Control as Vice President of Human Resources

HOUSTON, November 4, 2010–Wood Group Pressure Control has appointed Durenda Mason to the position of vice president – human resources. Durenda’s 30-year career includes extensive human resources management experience in some of the world’s largest oilfield services companies.

Durenda brings demonstrated expertise aligning human resources and business objectives to her new position. Most recently she was vice president of human resources at @Balance Americas, a Shell Venture Technology company recently acquired by Schlumberger, where she was responsible for developing and implementing human resource strategies, programs and practices supporting the overall business plan for a new technology start-up company. Previously, Durenda was a member of Halliburton’s global human resources team, where her responsibilities included all aspects of global human resources management for various product lines and support functions.

“Durenda’s primary focus will be to provide leadership and strategic oversight to enhance our programs to better attract, develop and retain high-performing employees,” stated Ian Milne, president of Wood Group Well Support. “We intend to continue growing our valve and wellhead business and good people are key to our success.”

Durenda has a bachelor’s degree in business from Houston Baptist University and is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management, from which she has earned Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR) certifications.
